RHEUMATIC FEVER SYMPTOMS
Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory disorder, which generally occurs because of an untreated bacterial infection, such as strep throat, or the scarlet fever. The fever can affect various areas of the body, including the brain, heart and joints, and the skin. Each case is different, but there are common rheumatic fever symptoms that most individuals will experience if they have the fever.

Some of the most common rheumatic fever symptoms include:
- Loss of appetite and high fever.
- Joint symptoms, such as swelling, pain, warm joints, knee, ankle, or elbow symptoms.
- Heart symptoms including: murmur, weakness, shortness of breath, and inflammation.
- Skin changes or unexplained skin rashes.

In some instances, painless nodules are also common on different areas of the body. Depending on the severity of the condition, and how quickly it is noticed, the symptoms associated with each person will vary, as will the severity and levels of pain they experience.
